How to have a chicken fight

  1. Step1

Engage in chicken fights in the shallow end of the pool.

  2. Step2

Submerge yourself underwater if you're the larger player, so your smaller partner can easily mount on your shoulders. Your opponents will do the same. Grab the legs of your rider with your arms to hold him or her on your shoulders if you're the carrier.

Step3

Face off against the other mounted pair, and have your partner try to knock off the other mounted partner into the water.

Step4

Win by knocking the opponent off his or her mount. The winner is then challenged by a new pair, or rechallenged by the same pair.

Step5

And if all else fails dog pile the winner til he goes DOWN!

It pays to be Wicked

Our 4th of July was painted GREEN !

Addison's dream come true to see Wicked!

Anna Reese has now listened to the Wicked CD everyday since we got home. She has convinced her first grade friends that they should all be Wicked characters for Halloween and sing all the songs.

Tanner's life is so much grander since Wicked enriched his life! NOT!
Thanks again Mom! You are POPULAR NANA!

The End of Summer

So hard to believe another summer has come and gone. And now September and fall roll in bringing a change in season. Which means high school swim meets, early Saturday morning soccer games, and a strong desire for cooler temps. Lets face it when we live this deep down south, summer temps last til mid October. We have an 8 month summer here!!!
So everyday this week I will post summer flashback photos. My kids were gone alot this summer but here are a few precious moments caught just chillin at home

Just don't listen

As I was closing the last post about our man eating spider, Anna Reese comes running in the back door
"There's a snake in the backyard"
And sure enough, Ross races out the back door and yells,
"Miriam get my gun"
and sure enough this was in our backyard
and sure enough Bella, (the hyperactive A.D.H.D. dog who never obeys) has been bit.
The snake, a copperhead, is dead. And Bella with her swollen sore nose has had a dose of Benadryll. Hopefully she'll be okay.
My dog, like my kids, never listens. So I hope my kids learn a lesson when dad says get the *@!*(insert expletive) away, you better move FAST and OBEY!

Just to give you the HEEBIE JEEBIES

Ok this alien critter, a silk orb weaver
(I refer to as THE THING)

wait lets get a close up

(can i get a "OH MY GOSH THAT THING IS FREAKY!!!!!"
"OH MY GOSH THAT THING IS BEYOND FREAKY!!!")

THIS THING has decided to make the bush by my front porch his home! Every day he inches his way towards the sidewalk. I am afraid THE THING is plotting to capture a small child. I want Ross to get rid of THE THING but he refuses. He is hoping it will take out a few squirrels. What do you think should we let THE THING live or should I take it out with Tanner's BB Gun? Leave me a comment, let me know
