Eat up the Fun

It has rained entirely too much this month! And with 6 kids in the house, I can appreciate how Noah felt on his ark. Can you say "Stir Crazy". So to alleviate our cabin fever, we took the kids to Gattitown so they could get their FUN on. I thought I'd share the fun with a massive photo overload.
Ready...Set...Go!
let the FUN begin...

Now you have experienced the GATTITOWN FUN with us, if only I could download the headache that comes after, can anyone say "IBUPROFEN".

And to all a Good Night

These little children are about to be nestled all snug in their beds with visions of sugar plums, and nintendo ds's and ipods and video games dancing through their heads.

Hope they have been nice.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

We loved spending an early Christmas with family last weekend. Hope everyone's Christmas is merry and bright. And I hope Santa finds you on the NICE list and gives you everything you want this year. If not there is always next year.

Merry Christmas!

Our Redneck Christmas Lights

For 13 years now we have been going to the biggest lights exhibit in the Hattiesburg greater area. And this year we took our guests. While it was cold outside we enjoyed the Lewis lights. The Lewis's are a couple who decorate their yard every year with thousands of lights and christmas decorations and opens it up to the public for free. It is alot of fun for us all.
Merry Christmas Everyone!

Sick Santa Baby

Anna Banana used to crawl into my bed every morning and watch Nick Jr when she was little. Since starting school last year I have missed those sweet little mornings because the only time we get to have those days now are when she is sick. She has been home for 2 days sick. Fever yesterday of 103 but no fever today thank goodness. She couldn't have picked 2 better days to be sick because it has been pouring nonstop. And I am glad I had a reason to stay home and not get out in this mess. (And yes she is still in her Santa dress from Sunday, I think it might be time to give her a bath and have her change her clothes.)

Stick Man Birthday

Our Tan the Man is 12 today. And of course the day just could not go by without Tacos for dinner. (Tanner's traditional birthday dinner for 7 years running now) He even turned down a steak dinner for mom's homemade tacos. And all he wanted for his birthday was a stickman. So a stickman is what he got (courtesy of a creative mom who happens to know how to sew) One day I will have to let you in on his stickman obsession. But for today here's a few traditional Arroyo birthday pics.
12 licks and a pinch to grow an inch
Tanner and his new friend "Bob" the stickman
Hanging out together watching the TV with his new best friend
Happy Birthday Tan the Man!

Let it Snow

And snow it did!
Here is the view from the truck while we were out getting a redbox movie.
Really coming down hard.
Enjoy this snowball! Tanner was snow ready at 6:15 am.
Anna Banana played til her toes were popsicles.
She sacrificed her scarf and hat to the snowman.
Addison crawled out of her warm bed just long enough for me to get a picture.
And one was all I got.
And let's not forget the biggest kid of them all.
He was the last one in from the snow.
And finally the traditional Arroyo snowman, the biggest in the neighborhood.
Bet ours is bigger than yours!
Happy Snow Day 2009

Uh Oh

My clock stopped on my birthday!
Can't be a good sign?

my little southern pine

Watch out Anna Banana your roots are showin'
Anna Banana is following in her sister's footsteps, she loves to be on stage. She was chosen to be a little ballet dancing tree for the first grade christmas pagaent. She delivered her lines with a perfect southern accent "Likewise sugar pine, I declare my roots are showin' and it seems like I just had them dun." She is still wondering why Addison wants her to break a leg because as a tree she would break a branch not a leg. Silly little girl.
Great job Anna Banana, we are so proud of you!

Four Alarm Blaze

Happy Birthday to MEEEE!!!
Today I am 29. . . . . again!
(the fire from this blaze was so hot it melted the chocolate shavings and the icing in 3 seconds flat.
Note to hubby - NO MORE CANDLES!)

Surprise!!!

Addison went all day Saturday wondering if we were doing anything or not for her birthday! And even though she claims Anna Banana spilt the beans and that she knew, it did not stop her from telling tan the man that she was going to forget my birthday on purpose. So I believe we surprised her even though she will never admit it. Still can't believe my babycakes is 15 and almost grown. She is truly a unique girl. I love her and am very proud she is my daughter.
SURPRISE!!

New Moon Mania

I hope everyone had a great new moon weekend! As for me and my mom, we loved it. (must admit we saw it Friday and then again on Saturday) Yes we are grown women and as I felt myself swoon like a schoolgirl when Jake took his shirt off, I thought to myself "This just cannot be healthy, I am old enough to be his mother." And while Bella may not be into the "cougar" thing, if I weren't happily married I could be into the Cougar thing if the right werewolf crossed my path. Now my mom on the other hand is 100% devoted to a 109 year old vampire. Nothing weird about that!
And yes we bought the collector's cups. Edward for Carolyn, Jacob for Miriam.
